Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a new scheme involving model bazaars and free home delivery of items from these markets.
Under this initiative, a model bazaar will be established in every district of the province, alongside the launch of a mobile app for online ordering from these modern markets.
During a meeting on Thursday, CM Nawaz directed to ensure that vegetables and fruits are sold below the fixed prices in model markets. She also instructed for the best quality fruits and vegetables to be made available for sale in these markets. Additionally, CM Nawaz emphasized the need to continue monitoring weights and measures in model markets, emphasizing their role in serving the common man with quality goods.
“Model bazaars are meant for the common man, and it is imperative that they are provided with quality goods,” CM Nawaz stated during the meeting.
Chairman of Model Bazaar Management Company and Member of National Assembly Muhammad Afzal Khokhar provided a detailed briefing to Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz about the Model Bazaar project during the meeting. Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Principal Secretary Sajid Zafar Dal, and others were also present on the occasion.
