ISLAMABAD: At least one worker lost his life and many other injured when an under construction shuttering of pillar, which is part of Bhara Kahu bypass project, collapsed on Saturday morning. Rescue workers and locals rushed to the site of the incident and started pulling workers out of the rubble.

Soon after the incident, social media erupted in anger, with some of them blaming local administration for negligence and substandard work, while many other blaming ‘extra-ordinary’ work pressure to meet the completion deadline of March 23, reportedly set by Commissioner Islamabad who wanted PM Shehbaz Sharif to inaugurate it.
However, MM News has got CCTV footage of the incident that took place at Bhara Kahu, which clearly shows that the shuttering was hit by a heavy vehicle as a result of which it came down instantly, resulting in the casualties.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister and other high officials have issued statement about taking notice of the incident and passing instructions to expedite rescue and relief work.
