A statement of renowned Pakistani religious scholar Mufti Tariq Masood on the sudden death of Indian actress Shefali Jariwala due to anti-aging injections went viral on social media.
In his statement, Mufti Tariq Masood said that a famous actress, who earned fame in the world, was buried in a moment. Since she was a Hindu, her body was cremated, which reveals the reality of a person and people, especially Hindus, should learn a lesson from it.
However, Mufti Tariq Masood expressed regret and said that instead of learning a lesson from this incident, people started playing the songs and films of the deceased, which, according to hi,m is a useless act.
Mufti Tariq Masood said: “Artists spend crores of rupees on their external beauty, but after death everything ends, and fame turns into ashes, then why don’t people take selfies with this dead body and why don’t they want to be buried with it?”
Mufti Tariq Masood further said that praying for forgiveness upon the death of non-Muslims is against Islamic teachings, and Muslims should react under Islamic principles.
Meanwhile, a prayer meeting for the late actress was held on July 2, which was attended by her family and close friends.
A heartbreaking video from the prayer meet is surfacing on the internet, which has left fans and well-wishers even more distressed. In the clip, Shefali’s father is seen breaking down while her husband, Parag Tyagi, consoles him.
Shefali Jariwala rose to fame in the early 2000s with her sizzling performance in the remix music video Kaanta Laga, earning her the title “Kaanta Laga Girl.” She also starred alongside Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and participated in reality shows like Nach Baliye and Bigg Boss 13.
Shefali is survived by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi.
