ISLAMABAD: Two Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNAs, who appeared in the leaked video showing Ali Haider Gilani buying vote for the Senate election, called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and extended their full support.
According to details, MNA Muhammad Jameel and Faheem Khan in their meeting apprised the prime minister about the scandal and admitted they were filmed in the video.
During the meeting, the MNAs of the ruling party expressed their full confidence in PM Imran Khan and added that today is the day of Khan’s victory. “We are clear and will not hesitate to appear before the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) if summoned,” they added.
Talking to a private news channel, lawmaker Faheem Khan admitted that he and PTI MNA Jamil Ahmed were in the video. “We are Prime Minister Imran Khan’s soldiers,” he said.
The lawmaker, responding to a question, said he did not shoot the video on anyone’s direction, and the party’s stance in this regard would soon be given. To another question, Faheem Khan said, “The people who take money do not appear before the public.”
Earlier this week, a video of Ali Haider Gillani, son of former prime minister and Senate candidate Yousuf Raza Gillani had surfaced which exposed the PPP leader “buying vote” for upcoming upper house polls.
