PESHAWAR: A most wanted TTP commander and 9 other militants were in a fierce gun battle that took place around the area of KP’s Lakki Marwat the other day.

According to information gathered by MM News, TTP commander Tipu and ten others were killed in the shootout between Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants and security forces in the restive Lakki Marwat district bordering South Waziristan tribal district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Security forces also reportedly suffered some casualties in the ongoing operation, but this could not be confirmed till the filing of this report.
It has also been learnt that the militants were fully armed with US Night Vision Devices (NVD) equipment and heavy arms.

The development came amid reports that Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had called off the ceasefire agreed with the government in June, vowing carry out attacks across the Pakistan.
