PESHAWAR: The by-polls for the vacant seat of NA-33 constituency of Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has begun under tight security measures.
Polling that began at 8am in the morning will continue without any break till 5pm.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, all arrangements have been made to conduct peaceful and smooth by-elections.
The ECP has set up two-hundred and ten polling stations including sixty-four males, fifty-five females and ninety-one combined. Similarly, ten polling stations have been declared sensitive and seventy-seven most sensitive.
A control room has been set up in the office of the Provincial Election Commissioner, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to monitor the by-election.

Provincial Election Commissioner Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Raziq appealed to all voters of the constituency to exercise their voting right without any fear or danger.
A total of five candidates are in the run for the NA-33 seat.
The election campaign for NA-33 Hangu will conclude today at midnight.
The seat fell vacant due to the death of MNA Khial Zaman.
