LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Uzma Bukhari has skipped the investigation of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) team today in the video scandal case.
The FIA team earlier summoned Uzma Bukhari along with her party leader Pervez Rasheed in the same case today but she accused herself and told she was not currently present in the country.
Bukhari submitted her plea to the FIA office through her lawyer that stated that she was incapable to appear as she was currently abroad. She also forwarded a copy of her passport to the team through the dispatcher.
Earlier, the FIA team raided the Model Town central office of PML-N in Lahore and seized key records in connection with the judge video scandal.
In the Al-Azizia corruption case in December 2018, the accountability court judge Arshad Malik had sentenced Nawaz to seven years in prison and fined Rs1.5 billion and $25 million.
