Prime Minister’s special aide on Commerce and investment, Abdul Razak Dawood revealed that the United States of America (USA) remained the top export destination of the Pakistani products followed by China and the United Kingdom (UK) during the first four months of the financial year (2021-22).
Sharing the news on his Twitter handle, Razak Dawood wrote, “We are pleased to announce that the USA, UK, and China remained the top destinations of Pakistan’s exports during the first 4 months of FY 2021-22.”

Furthermore, Razak revealed the stats about how much increase had been seen in the current fiscal year, Pakistan’s exports to China enhanced by 82 percent to $935 million in the first four months of the current fiscal year from $514 million in the same period of last year.
China was followed by the UK where Pakistan’s exports have gone up by 11 percent to $742 million from $669 million. Moreover, Pakistan’s export to Netherland has recorded growth of 23 percent, Spain 33 percent, United Arab Emirates (UAE) 19 percent, Italy 35 percent, and Bangladesh 40 percent.

Meanwhile, on the other hand, Pakistan’s imports have gone up by 65.15 percent to $25.063 billion in July to October period of FY2020-21 from $15.176 billion in the same period of the previous year.
According to sources, the persistent rise in oil prices, exchange rates and rise in domestic economic activities are contributing factors for rising imports products in Pakistan.
