TEHRAN: A group claiming to be Iranian hackers on Sunday has breached a little-known U.S. government agency’s website and posted vowing revenge messages for the killing of top military commander Qassem Suleimani by Washington.
The Federal Depository Library System website was replaced on Sunday by a page called Iranian Hackers showing pictures of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Iranian flag.

Martyrdom has been the reward of Suleimani for years of persistent sacrifices,” read a cartoon showing US President Donald Trump being hit by a fist emerging from Iran with missiles flying in.
Iranian hackers wrote on the US website that “Qassem Soleimani’s work and the path will not cease with his departure and the power of God, and severe retribution awaits those criminals who have tainted their filthy hands with his blood and the blood of the other martyrs.”
Hackers further wrote, “This is just a small part of the cyber-capability of Iran.” the post caption read on a black background in white text.
Early Friday, Suleimani’s death in a drone strike in Iraq carried Tehran’s fiery promise of revenge.
