KARACHI: Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Mahmood Moulvi has urged upon the government to focus on economic issues as under-invoicing continues to destroy country’s economy.
In a statement released here on Wednesday, PTI leader Mehmood Maulvi said the government should immediately implement the Minimum Export Price restrictions to prevent under-invoicing.
The former SAPM said that the difference of value of dollar in the interbank and open market, which is called the curb rate, had reached 38 rupees. “In the history of the country’s economy, such a high curb rate had never been seen till to date,” he added.
He further said that due to under-invoicing, the curb rate had increased, and the menace of under-invoicing was destroying the economy. He demanded of the he government to immediately implement the minimum export price mechanism.
