ISLAMABAD: Two tourists have claimed that they were robbed during the visit to the federal capital.
According to the tourists, armed men riding unregistered motorbikes near Faisal Masjid robbed them at gunpoint.
The police have still been unable to identify the masked criminals. The victims had come for a photo session at Faisal Masjid.
The victims, Noman Arshad and Syed Ahsan, stated that they were suddenly robbed by two masked gunmen who also came to the mosque pretending to taken pictures and demanded them to hand over their camera.
In this regard, when the victims reached out to the police, their matter was turned durn down by the authorities, they added.
Noman said that the armed men threatened to kill him for not giving the camera, took away the camera and fled. He said that the cameras were worth Rs3 million.
He reported that after calling the police, it arrived at the scene after 30 minutes. ASI Shahzad called and inquired about the incident.
He said that the complaint has been submitted in Margalla police station but the FIR has not yet been filed.
