NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Security forces on Tuesday killed two terrorists as they conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) after being informed of their hideout in Datta Khel of the North Waziristan District.

In a statement, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the two terrorists were killed during the intense exchange of fire between the two sides.

During the operation, security forces also recovered weapons and ammunition from the terrorists’ hideout. A search of the area is in progress to eliminate any other terrorists, the statement added.

On September 11, one terrorist was killed and six others arrested during an intelligence intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district.

Security forces conducted the operation in Hassu Khel area of Mir Ali, the military’s media wing added.

Earlier on September 4, two people were shot dead outside their residence in what appears to be yet another targeted attack in Mir Ali Tehsil of North Waziristan tribal district. The masked men managed to escape after committing the crime taking full advantage of the darkness.
