LAHORE: Two new confirmed cases of the dengue virus were reported in Punjab, taking the total number of cases in the province to 105.Â
The fresh cases were reported in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Patients are under treatment. Out of 105 total patients, 90 dengue patients have recovered their health and were allowed to leave for their homes. 15 patients are still under treatment at the various hospitals of the province.
No deaths have been reported in the ongoing year due to the dengue virus. No death due to dengue had been reported this year due to effective measures taken by the Punjab government.
The government was continuously working against dengue across the province and the anti-dengue staff recovered worms from 6,611 places during the last seven days. The P&SHD urged people to adopt precautionary measures and keep their environment clean and dry to protect themselves from dengue.

In the first month of the year, a total of 74 dengue positive cases emerged across Sindh province out of the 64 were confirmed from Karachi and 10 from other districts so far, according to PCPD data.
In 2020, a total of 326 dengue cases suffices in the province to date; out of which 297 in the metropolis and 29 from other districts.
