Two men were shot dead and another was injured after armed men kidnapped them from a mosque in Shikarpur during Fajr prayers on Sunday.
As per police, armed men stormed a mosque located in Dil Meher area of Shikarpur and took away three men from there. Later, they gunned down two people and injured a third.
Police said the deceased had been identified as Khan Muhammad Mehr and Umar Mehr, and the incident was a consequence of an enmity between the Jatoi and Mehr tribes. The bodies were shifted to the tehsil hospital.
Police further said that evidence had been collected from the crime scene and an investigation had been launched.
The Force informed that the area had been cordoned off and raids were being conducted for the arrest of the assassins.
Tribal clashes over land and other disputes are a common phenomenon in rural Sindh and claim many lives every year.
