Two girls shot over matrimonial dispute in Dadu: police

KARACHI: Two teenage girls were shot in their home by unidentified men in Sobdar Wah village near Dadu district today (Sunday), the district police said.

According to details, one of the victims died on the spot, while the other is in critical condition. Initial investigation informed that the incident took place due to a matrimonial dispute. A first information report is yet to be registered.

KN Shah taluka’s Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has informed that police had arrived at the victims’ home soon after receiving information, however, the culprits had escaped.

Both victims, who were cousins, were shifted to KN Shah taluka hospital. An autopsy of the victim who was killed in the shooting in underway, while her cousin is under treatment.

Dadu SSP Farrukh Raza Malik has informed that he had directed the police officials to thoroughly investigate the murders and ensure the arrest of the assailants. Meanwhile, SHO Ghulam Hyder said that police suspected that the victims’ uncle and cousin had shot the girls.
