Pakistani television host and journalist Aftab Iqbal on Monday became one of the top twitter trending topics following his negative remarks against Pakistan Cricket team’s Captain Babar Azam that apparently didn’t go down well with most of the cricket fans.
On his show Khabarhar with Aftab Iqbal, Mr. Iqbal, while commenting on the tri-series in New Zealand, remarked about Pakistani Captain’s alleged ego that landed him in hot water on social media.

“Babar Azam is not even a star anymore not because he drops catches or not performing well,” Aftab Iqbal said “He has too much of an ego. He should focus on building the team and bring Haris Sohail, Faheem Ashraf and Imad in the team. He should beg Shoaib Malik to join the national side.”
The comment immediately attracted backlash from Twitterati. Most of the fans termed the remark ‘Uninformed opinion’ to put it mildly.
