Famous Pakistani fashion designer Maria B is facing criticism after Turkish content creator Turkan Atay publicly accused her of failing to provide full payment for a brand photoshoot conducted in Turkey earlier this year.
Taking to Instagram, Atay detailed her involvement in the campaign, saying that she had shared all necessary expenses and logistical details with the brand prior to the shoot.
She also submitted a comprehensive quotation covering costs such as location fees and production expenses.

According to Atay, despite fulfilling her responsibilities — including completing the shoot and promoting the content on her social media platforms — she received only a single payment. She emphasized that Maria B had been informed in advance that her charges were on a per-outfit basis.

However, the designer reportedly later attempted to justify the discrepancy by referencing a standard practice of compensating influencers based on the number of social media reels produced.
Atay expressed frustration over the unresolved matter, noting that three months have passed since the campaign without a resolution.
This is not the first time Maria B has faced controversy in Turkey. In August of the previous year, she was accused of plagiarism following the release of her “Palestine Collection.”
