U.S. President Donald Trump has imposed a ban on the entry of citizens from 12 countries, including Iran and Afghanistan, into the United States.
President Donald Trump signed a new executive order on travel restrictions, under which citizens of Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen are subject to the ban.
Some countries’ citizens face a complete ban, while others are subject to partial restrictions. A total of 12 countries face complete bans, and 7 face partial restrictions. Student visas for foreign students at Harvard University have also been affected.
A statement issued by the White House stated that the purpose of this action is to protect the American public from dangerous foreign elements.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time the U.S. has taken action against Iran, Afghanistan, and other countries. The U.S. government believes these restrictions are essential for national security.
On the other hand, the restrictions imposed by President Donald Trump will also affect students and ordinary citizens who travel to the U.S. for business or other important purposes.
