A transgender from Lahore named Jannat Ali has said that if their parents supported and encouraged them, they could go to parliament and even become the prime minister of the country.
Speaking in an interview, Jannat Ali said that she has done MBA in HR and Marketing and is a gold medalist of her university. So far, she has represented Pakistan in 26 countries. She was also nominated for the Asia Hero Award in 2002.
Jannat Ali revealed that due to a lack of rules of business, transgenders are not benefiting from the legislation. The community, whose gender identity is written on the national identity card cannot get the rights of transgender.
Jannat Ali said that her family and society need to change their thinking about transgenders. If an artist dances or sings, he is called an artist, but transgenders are called dancers and singers instead of artists.

She also said that the legislation and the efforts of social workers like her have brought awareness to the transgender community. Most of the immoral videos of eunuchs that are shared on social media are fake, they are of Indian eunuchs, she revealed. Jannat Ali said that the status of their ‘Guru’ among eunuchs is the same as that of parents.
Jannat Ali continued that she is most saddened when her family turn a blind eye toward them. “There comes a time when it comes time to stand beside her, she looks away, it makes her sad, said Jannat Ali.
