JAMSHORO: At least six people lost their lives when a bus carrying pilgrims en route to Sehwan from Hyderabad met with an accident near Thori railway crossing, Jamshoro Manjhand.
Those who lost lives included a woman, a girl, and a youth, while 20 others sustained injuries.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Jamshoro, all passengers were residents of Khaskheli Goth near Hyderabad and were traveling to attend Sehwan Shahbaz Qalandar when the accident happened. The injured have been shifted to Manjahand Hospital and Sehwan for medical treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Farida, son of Noor Muhammad Khaskheli, Bablu, son of Manu Khaskheli, Ayan Ali, son of Dilbar Khaskheli, and Hashim, son of Mohmas Khaskheli. All were members of the same family.
The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. The incident has left the residents of Khaskheli Goth in shock and mourning. The local authorities have expressed condolences and announced an investigation into the matter.
