LAHORE – Popular TikToker Ayat Maryam was allegedly murdered by her husband during a domestic altercation in the Nawab Town area of Lahore, police reported on Tuesday.
According to officials, the victim’s husband, Saad, is accused of strangling her to death following a seemingly minor dispute.
SP Dr. Ghayur Ahmad Khan stated that Nawab Town Police employed modern technology and conducted a rapid investigation, leading to Saad’s arrest within 24 hours of the incident.
Preliminary findings indicate that the couple frequently argued, suggesting a history of domestic tension. A case has been officially registered, and the suspect has been transferred to the investigation wing for further questioning.
Police officials say the exact motive behind Ayat Maryam’s tragic death will be determined as the interrogation progresses.
