ISTANBUL: Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will travel to the United States in the upcoming week to meet counterpart Donald Trump.
In a telephone conversation held earlier, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Donald Trump reconfirmed that they would meet in Washington on 13th November, upon the invitation by the US President Trump.

Erdogan earlier threatened to cancel his visit due to disagreements over the Syrian conflict and the US House of Representatives recognizing the mass killing of Armenians a century ago as genocide.

In this regard, Trump posted a tweet by saying, “Very good call with Erdogan and would look forward to hosting him.”
During the telephonic conversation, both leaders discussed the Syrian-Turkish border, the elimination of terrorism and the ending of hostilities with the Kurds and many other topics.
