SWAT: Unknown gunmen sprayed bullets at a school van in Swat, killing the driver on the spot and injuring two students.
Reports gathered by MM News revealed that the incident took place in Char Bagh area of Swat Monday morning when unknown militants opened fire at the van carrying students of a private school.
Driver Hussain Ahmed lost his life on the spot while two students sustained injuries. The dead and injured were shifted to Khawazakhela hospital.

Soon after the incident, security forces kicked off a search operation in the entire area.
Responding to media questions, DIG Malakand said “we are still in the process of investigating whether it’s an incident of terrorism or enmity.”
The relatives of the assassinated driver as well as locals in large numbers turned to the streets and staged protest against the incident.
In Mingora, students in large numbers hit the streets and staged a strong protest to denounce the attack on the school van, calling it a cowardly act.

The President of the Private Schools Association Sawab Khan announced that schools throughout Swat would remain closed for two days.
