An attempt to kidnap a child in North Karachi was foiled, as car-riding suspects abducted the child and tried to escape.
According to details, in North Karachi, the suspects in a car kidnapped the child. The child’s maternal uncle and mother started chasing the car. Seeing the child’s uncle running behind the vehicle, local residents also joined in.
When the suspects went ahead, a police mobile was parked there. The suspects left the child near the Chamber of Commerce and a little further abandoned the vehicle and fled.
In this regard, police officials said that a case has been registered against the suspects and a search has been started. The police have taken the suspects’ car into custody while their search is ongoing.
According to recent reports and statistics, in Karachi in 2025 there has been a notable increase in incidents of child abductions and missing children. This rise is especially observed in the city’s poor and middle-class areas.
Citizens have expressed deep concern over the continuous abductions of children and the failure of the police, demanding immediate action from higher authorities.
