A survey, conducted by Gallup Pakistan, has revealed a large number of people in Pakistan are regular users of different kinds of perfume while most of them are educated people.
As per the survey, 32 percent of Pakistanis said that they wear perfume daily, while 68 percent said they use the fragrance occasionally.
The survey further said that those who wear perfume daily are mostly young and highly educated people.
55 percent of Pakistanis with an FA or higher education said they used perfume regularly. Among less educated people, 28 percent said they used perfume daily, while 72 percent said they rarely used perfume. 40 percent of young people under the age of 30 said they used perfume.
As per a report published in Daily Dawn, Pakistan’s perfume industry has seen a significant rise in the past decade, specifically from 2017 to 2024, when several brands jumped on the fast fashion-to-fragrance bandwagon.
Clothing brands — including Khaadi, Gul Ahmed, Bonanza, and Alkaram, to name a few — and even new market entrants — such as activewear shoe brand One Degree (a mildly eye-raising entrance in the perfume relay) — are diving headfirst into the now-competitive perfume market, which has otherwise remained dominated by foreign brands and the wildly popular J. Perfume, after years spent establishing an envy-inducing retail presence.
