MULTAN: Prime Minister Imran Khan will address the nation today that marks a year when Pakistan shot down two Indian jets.
In this regard, the government had announced that today will be celebrated as ‘Surprise Day’ as a tribute to the attack by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) after India’s botched Balakot airstrike.
On 27th February last year, Pakistan carried shot down an Indian Air Force (IAF) fighter aircraft and dropped bombs within the compounds of Indian military facilities in occupied Kashmir as a warning to India.
During that operation, the Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman was also arrested by the forces after his Mig-21 was shot down. The pilot was later handed over to Indian authorities as a goodwill gesture.
