ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar has expressed happiness that the average price of sugar has come down by Rs 31 per kg in a month.
Asad Umar took to Twitter and wrote that the beneficiaries resisted the attempt to change the corrupt system. “If there are powerful people, there is more resistance, but if there are goodwill and courage, the government succeeds in the end,” he said.
پچھلے ایک ماہ میں ملک میں چینی کی اوسط قیمت میں 31 روپیہ فی کلو کمی ہوئی ہے. جب بگڑا ہوا نظام بدلنے کی کوشش ہوتی ہے تو اس نظام سے مستفید ہونے والے مزاحمت کرتے ہیں، اور اگر وہ طاقتور لوگ ہوں تو مزاحمت زیادہ ہوتی ہے. لیکن اگر حکومت نیک نیت اور باہمت ہو تو آخر کار کامیاب ہوتی ہے

Yesterday, Asad Umar had warned that the government would have to close down more sectors amid rising cases of COVID-19 and non-compliance of the SOPs. The minister said that the nation was not observing SOPs as much as during the first wave of the pandemic.

“If we will not take it (the pandemic) seriously, I fear that after a couple of weeks, the situation can become so worst that we will have no other choice but to close down more sectors.” He added, “The most dangerous move is that some political parties are insisting to arrange big public gatherings despite a ban on assembly of more than 300 people at one place.”
