Stardom made me more humble: Haddy Firdousi

Rising star Haddy Firdousi’s journey towards becoming a TV celebrity was the result of innate passion. He is the new heartthrob in the media industry of Pakistan.

Firdousi attracted fans with his friendly personality and captivating performance in  ‘Hari Hari Churiyaan’.

MM News speaks to Haddy about his journey in the industry.

MM: How did you get your first break in the industry?

Haddy Firdousi: Well, to be honest, it wasn’t an easy task to enter this industry. I gave auditions for some time. Sarmad Khoosat was the person who recognized my work and gave me my first break for Geo Entertainment.

MM: How would you describe yourself in 5 words?

Haddy Firdousi: I am:

MM: What genre of drama do you like to act in the most?

Haddy Firdousi: Humour and Romance.

MM: Who or what do you draw your greatest creative inspiration from?

Haddy Firdousi: Since my childhood, I have always been inspired by the theater, film, and drama industry. I used to love actors who performed different types of characters, not just one. One of those greatest actors who I still admire is Mr. Nasir-uddin-Shah. I think he always does justice for the characters he plays.

MM: How do you choose your roles?

Haddy Firdousi: Depends on the script. I would always opt for strong story scripts that have an inspirational message in it.

MM: A character in a drama you would love to have played?

Haddy Firdousi: I always had a dream to become a part of Pakistan’s armed forces but due to some personal issues I couldn’t proceed so, I would have loved to play the character of one of the boys from Ehd-e-Wafa.

MM: If you had to choose another career what would it be?

Haddy Firdousi: A GD pilot.

MM: Has stardom changed you?

Haddy Firdousi: Yes, it has made me more humble and increased my patience.

MM: Where do you see yourself in the next 20 years?

Haddy Firdousi: First and foremost, I want to contribute as much as I can to this industry as an actor.

Once mastered, I see myself as one of the leading actors of this industry and learning new skills that will benefit the industry and help me achieve my career goals. I am eager to experience new challenges and excited to invest years specializing in a career I find extremely interesting.

MM: Your dream project would be?

Haddy Firdousi: Any kind of action or reality-based projects.
