ISLAMABAD: A special PIA plane has returned home carrying stranded citizens in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, on which the national airline management expressed happiness.
According to the details, the plane of the national airline arrived at the international airport of Islamabad from the Afghan capital at 7 am today. For the first time since the Taliban took over Afghanistan, a PIA flight was able to repatriate passengers.
A spokesman for the national airline said limited access to flight information was allowed for security reasons. The PIA administration was in contact with the Taliban government, the CAA, and NATO during the flight of the special plane.

A spokesman for the national airline said Pakistani nationals as well as representatives of foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations had been rescued from Kabul airport. Ground crews in Kabul made arrangements for passengers to reach the airport.
On the occasion, PIA chief Arshad Malik welcomed the crew on the PIA flight and congratulated the passengers. The International Federation of Airlines Pilots Association also congratulated PIA.
Yesterday, the International Federation of Airlines Pilots Association acknowledged the bravery of the pilots and crew who brought the PIA plane from Kabul to Pakistan. In a letter to Palpa, the international organization said Captain Maqsood Bajrain and his staff faced difficult circumstances.
