ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry revealed on Monday that two major solar panel manufacturing companies have agreed to set up plants in the country.
Taking a jibe at ongoing political scenario of the country, the minister announced another milestone of incumbent government.
He wrote, “I am happy to announce that world’s two major solar companies’ plants are being set up in Pakistan.”

The federal minister also revealed that second largest Lithium battery producing company of China will start their workshop in the country as well.
According to his recent statement, Pakistan will also make lithium battery powered buses.
It is pertinent to mention that Fawad Chaudhry is currently visiting China where he also met Chinese business leaders and other officials.
The officials of the China Machinery Engineering Corporation also met with the federal minister where both parties held discussion regarding the solar power units manufacturing in Pakistan.
The ministry also revealed about Fawad Chaudhry’s meeting with the well-known Chinese company, Skywell Company.
This meeting was carried out to explore the opportunities of bringing the concept of electric vehicles in the country.
