LAHORE: A court has summoned singer Meesha Shafi next month in a social media campaign case against Ali Zafar, a well-known singer, and actor of the Pakistani showbiz industry.
According to details, singer Meesha Shafi is accused of campaigning against the singer on social media along with his associates and causing irreparable damage to his reputation, which was heard in the Judicial Magistrate’s Court in Lahore today.
The case filed in the complaint of Ali Zafar was heard by the Judicial Magistrate in Lahore and the position of the parties was heard. Ali Zafar appeared before the court and stated that when he is called, he appears before the court but on the other hand, the other party never shows up.

Ali Zafar informed the court that Meesha Shafi has not bothered to appear before the court for the last three years. The court fixed November 8 for the next hearing and summoned the accused fashion bloggers Hamna Raza and Mahim Javed.
On the other hand, the court was asked by Meesha Shafi and Mahim Javed to grant exemption from attendance which was disposed of by the Judicial Magistrate declaring it inadmissible. The court also withdrew Ali Gul Pir’s arrest warrant.
The Judicial Magistrate directed the accused Ali Gul Pir that the arrest warrants are being withdrawn but if he apologizes for appearing at the next hearing, the bail bonds will be canceled. Meesha Shafi was summoned for a hearing on November 8.

Earlier, Pakistani TV host and model Mathira, known for her bold advertisements, photos, and blunt statements, said that those who made serious allegations against Ali Zafar should be stopped because they are innocent. It may be recalled that singer and actor Ali Zafar had lodged a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against the campaign against him on social media.
