Another incident of bloodshed has occurred in Balochistan, where six people were killed in an attack by unidentified gunmen in Gwadar, as reported by national media.
According to a report on Thursday, the firing took place in the Kalmat area of Gwadar, where unknown assailants opened fire on passengers traveling from Gwadar to Karachi. Five people were killed on the spot, while one person sustained injuries according to police.
However, the injured person also succumbed to his wounds during treatment, raising the death toll to six. Police stated that the deceased individuals were traveling from Gwadar to Karachi, with one of them belonging to Multan, while the identification process for the others is ongoing.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack on passengers in Kallmat, stating that the terrorists targeted innocent people in a cowardly act.
Expressing deep sympathy and condolences to the families of the deceased, Mohsin Naqvi said that killing innocent people unjustly is an inhumane crime. He termed the targeted killing of passengers as an act of barbarism and brutality.
Mohsin Naqvi further stated that such cowardly actions cannot weaken the nation’s resolve against terrorism.
