HANGU: At least six people were killed and six others were injured on Saturday when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a passenger bus in Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to police, the incident occurred in Zargari area of district Hangu. The bus was heading from Shamsuddin Village to Taal town when gunmen stopped the bus and showered it with bullets.
Local authorities said the bodies and injured have been shifted to District Headquarters Hospital. The deceased include two women and four men. Police suspect the incident was the result of a personal enmity.
The police said raids were being conducted to arrest the attackers and a search operation has been launched. The identities of the dead and the injured were not immediately known.
