The Sindh government has decided to recruit 90,000 additional teachers in a major step aimed at improving the province’s education system. So far, 83,000 teachers have already been hired, according to provincial authorities.
The announcement was made by Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah during a briefing on departmental performance given to PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Sardar Shah stated that offer letters are being issued to candidates who have passed the IBA test, and the large-scale recruitment drive has already contributed to a significant improvement in the quality of education across Sindh.
He added that the new appointments would further enhance the standard of teaching in schools throughout the province.
During the meeting, the education minister also updated Bilawal Bhutto on the department’s ongoing initiatives and discussed plans to modernise the educational infrastructure and improve facilities in schools.
