KARACHI: The Sindh government has formed a five-member committee today (Thursday) to probe the registration of an FIR against PML-N leader retired Captain Safdar.
According to a notification issued by the provincial home department, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani will head the provincial cabinet committee.
Other members of the committee include Sindh information minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Culture and Tourism Minister Syed Sardar Al Shah, Transport Minister Syed Awais Qadir Shah, and CM Sindh’s advisor, Syed Murtaza Wahab.
The notification informed that the committee has been told to submit its report to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah within 30 days. The committee will also investigate the raid on a private hotel to ascertain whether the privacy and dignity of PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz and her husband were violated.
The ministers ‘committee will also investigate the alleged ridiculing, manhandling of the highest level of the Police which left the entire Police Force demoralized and unwilling to continue with their duties.
“Any matters relating to above which have bearing on the above incident and are necessary to be enquired and probed,” the notification added.
