Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced that 1,000 Google Career Certificate scholarships will be awarded to students from ten public universities in the province.
This initiative aims to provide students with globally recognized IT certifications, enabling them to compete on an international level and contribute to the country’s technological advancements.
The Universities & Boards Department and Tech Valley have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that facilitates the distribution of these scholarships across the ten public universities. Of the 1,000 scholarships, half are designated for female students.
At the MoU signing ceremony, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of young people embracing Information Technology (IT) to secure employment in today’s digital economy. “The diverse range of skills and certifications available in the IT sector allows individuals to earn a livelihood from home,” he said.
