KARACHI: Spokesperson Murtaza Wahab has said that the Sindh government believes in the rule of law.
While talking to media in Karachi, Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab said that it will be known which political party is against the people of Sindh. The Island Ordinance, introduced on 31st August is illegal. He said that the contents of the ordinance were unconstitutional and a resolution against it would be tabled in the Assembly today.
Murtaza Wahab said that the Sindh government believes in the rule of law. Members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Provincial Assembly tried to put pressure on the police while we have always directed them to work independently of the law, he said.

The Sindh Assembly is likely to adopt a resolution today condemning the Pakistan Islands Development Authority Ordinance and calling for its withdrawal. The provincial assembly will meet to demand of the Centre to withdraw the Ordinance, announced the Sindh Chief Minister.
“Sindh cabinet has already rejected the ordinance. The assembly is the highest forum and represents the people of Sindh, so we are going to move a resolution today on this issue,” Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah told the media earlier today.
