KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentary leader in the Senate Sherry Rehman has hailed the sacrifices of healthcare workers who fought the coronavirus pandemic.
Sherry Rehman took to Twitter and wrote that 72 healthcare workers have died in Pakistan to date from COVID-19.

Rehman wrote that the Young Doctors Association confirmed that out of 72, at least 41 are in Punjab alone.
“Salute to their courage, and prayers for their families,” She tweeted. Earlier, she severely criticised the government’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, saying that the prime minister has been giving confusing messages.
The PPP leader said that the government is not ready to sit together and form a policy to deal with the disease and is issuing conflicting messages.
The PPP leader said that the government has created confusion by choosing between lives versus livelihood. “Lives always come first,” she declared.
