Shehzad Roy demands strong punishments for rapists

LAHORE: Leading singer Shehzad Roy has demanded strong punishments for rapists, and child molesters.

Taking to Twitter, Shehzad Roy wrote that he has done a lot to save kids from sexual abuse and corporal punishment, and rapists, child molesters, or criminals like them should be punished with the full force of law.

According to him, he is against giving any punishment publicly. “I have done a lot to save kids from sexual abuse & corporal punishment. Rapists, child molesters, or criminals like them should be punished with the full force of law,” Roy tweeted.

It may be recalled that a woman was gang-raped on the motorway in the Gujjar Pura area of ​​Lahore.

The victim was returning to Gujranwala from Lahore in her car with her two children when two unidentified persons gang-raped her on the motorway, snatching gold jewelry and cash, and fled.

Two men broke the glass of a car on the motorway and took the woman and her children out, after which they took them to nearby bushes and allegedly raped the woman in front of the children. On the other hand, Inspector General of Punjab Police Inam Ghani has dismissed reports that a suspect had been arrested, terming them as incorrect. 

The police officer urged the media not to run reports before confirming them and urged people to have trust in the police.
