LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shehbaz Sharif has been shifted to a hospital due to worsening health issues.
Shehbaz Sharif was rushed to General Hospital in Lahore in an armored vehicle. The opposition leader has been shifted to the hospital due to chest pain. A CT scan of his chest will be done at the hospital.
It may be recalled that last week the accountability court had indicted Shehbaz Sharif and other co-accused in the money laundering case. The court had rejected Shehbaz Sharif’s plea not to charge him.
Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Hamza Shehbaz and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly had denied the charge in the courtroom. Accountability Court Administrator Judge Jawad Al Hassan had indicted Hamza Shehbaz and Shehbaz Sharif.
The court also directed Shehbaz Sharif to answer the questions on the indictment. The judge had said that if you take this questionnaire, you will sit down and give your answer.

The judge said to submit a copy of your denial so that normal proceedings could begin. The Lahore accountability court has adjourned the hearing of the case till 26th November.
In the money laundering case, Shehbaz Sharif’s son Salman Shehbaz has been declared a fugitive while NAB is fulfilling all the legal requirements against Shehbaz Sharif and his other family members.
According to NAB Lahore, an inquiry was launched against Shehbaz Sharif after receiving a complaint from the SBP’s financial monitoring unit. Shehbaz Sharif and his two sons allegedly made billions in assets from 9 industrial units in 10 years.
