Pakistani star cricketer Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the brand ambassador for the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).
According to the channel report, Shahid Afridi expressed his excitement, stating that the league will bring talent from both Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan to the forefront.
The inaugural edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) is scheduled to take place this November, with preparations already underway.
As part of his new role, Afridi visited the KPL office in Islamabad to review the ongoing arrangements.
KPL is a professional Twenty20 cricket league organized by Pakistan Cricket Board in Azad Kashmir. The league was founded in 2021. It consists of seven franchises; six teams representing major cities in Kashmir, while one team is representing the Kashmiri diaspora. Each team plays the group stage matches in a single round-robin tournament with the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs and ultimately for the final. Matches played in the Kashmir Premier League do not have official T20 status.
