ISLAMABAD: Authorities have closed the highways in many places due to fear of accidents caused by heavy fog in different cities of the country.
According to the details, the fog situation on the motorway is alarming. M2 was closed for traffic from Lahore to Sheikhupura while M3 was closed from Faizpur to Darkhana.
A spokesperson of the Motorway Police said that the M4 Motorway has been completely closed from Pindi Bhatian to Abdul Hakeem, while the M5 Multan Sukkur Motorway has also been closed due to fog.
The intensity of fog is also increasing along with cold throughout the country. Lahore Sialkot Motorway was closed due to fog. The Motorway Police has instructed the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel.

It should be noted that earlier in different cities of the country, including Rawalpindi, and Islamabad, the motorway was closed at various places due to fog, while the schedule of the airport was also affected.
Six months ago today, fog surrounded various cities of the country including Islamabad and Lahore. The entry of vehicles on the Lahore-Islamabad Motorway was blocked due to the visibility on the motorways and national highways.
