KARACHI: Search and rescue operation by Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) has saved five lives at sea of fishermen and their boats.
The incident took place yesterday during routine patrolling when PMSA’s Maritime Security Boat (MSB) received a call from a fishing boat namely “Al-Zahid Shah’ (Reg No BFD-277) which was stranded at sea due to hull damage-causing flooding.
MSA’s boat immediately proceeded to the vessel in distress and reached the position of the stranded boat along with requisite de-flooding pumps, towing arrangements, lifesaving, and first-aid equipment. The fishing boat crew was given first-aid and food and was taken in tow by PMSA’s boat and safely brought to Surbander around 1 pm.
