Salman Khan’s team issued a scam alert today regarding a fraudulent post claiming that the actor is set to make an appearance in the United States in October 2024.
Salman’s manager, Jordy Patel, shared a screenshot from an online ticketing portal on his Instagram stories on September 16. The post falsely advertised a performance by the actor on Saturday, October 5, at 4:00 PM at the Arlington Theatre in the U.S., featuring Salman’s picture.
In response, a warning was issued stating, “SCAM ALERT!! DO NOT BUY TICKETS. @beingsalmankhan is NOT making any appearances in the US in 2024.”
This isn’t the first time Salman Khan has had to address such fraudulent activity. In July 2023, the actor released a statement clarifying that neither he nor his production company, Salman Khan Films, is associated with any third party for film casting. He warned against fake casting calls and threatened legal action against anyone using his or his company’s name without authorization.
Salman’s statement on Instagram read: “This is to clarify that neither Mr. Salman Khan nor Salman Khan Films are currently casting for any film. We have not recruited any casting agencies for any of our upcoming projects. Please do not trust any emails or texts you receive for this purpose. Legal action will be taken against any party found using Mr. Khan’s or SKF’s name without permission.”
