KARACHI: The Supreme Court has ordered the demolition of Madina Masjid on Tariq Road and restoration of the park in its place within a week.
According to details, a case regarding the construction of Madina Masjid near Tariq Road was heard in the Supreme Court Karachi Registry today under the chairmanship of Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed. Commissioner Karachi and other officials including the administrator appeared before the court.
During the trial, the Chief Justice asked Murtaza Wahab why he did not take action against the construction of an illegal mosque. Administrator Wahab said that action will be taken on the order of the court.
Justice Qazi Amin said that illegal constructions have taken place in many places in Karachi, no one is going to ask. The court reprimanded the administrator and DMC for expressing ignorance of the boundaries of Tariq Road.

The Supreme Court remarked, “You come to sit in offices? Drink tea, gossip, and go home? No work you have Who is doing everything? You have caused irreparable damage to this city, you have to blow it up to fix it.”
