SBT blacklists teachers over controversial refugee question

KARACHI: Sindh Board of Technical (SBT) has blacklisted the paper setter/moderators who framed the controversial question regarding refugees in Islamic Studies/Study and Ethics paper in the Sindh Technical Board exam. The controversial question had created a stir on social media and in civil society.

On June 18, Three-year Diploma of Associate Engineer paper of Islamic Studies/Ethics/Study Pakistan included a controversial question about refugees, which raised concerns among civil society, and led to a protests in refugee circles.

Notification Number No. SBTE/Exam/third year/cir/2022-616 issued by Technical Board Prefect Examinations Gul Muhammad Khand states that teachers who made this paper are being blacklisted on the board.

The aforementioned action has been taken by the Controller of the Board to shield his negligence.

it is relevant to mention a paper is made in three different ways by moderators/paper setters so that another paper is issued in case one paper is leaked.
