PESHAWAR: A Saudia Airlines passenger plane caught fire upon landing at Peshawar airport on Thursday.
Local media reports indicate that the fire stemmed from a landing gear malfunction. All 276 passengers and 21 crew members were safely evacuated using inflatable slides.
The flight, en route from Peshawar to Riyadh, was met by prompt firefighting crews who extinguished the flames engulfing the aircraft.

Airport authorities and aviation experts are investigating the exact cause of the fire, which reportedly occurred during the plane’s landing.
