Two people have died after the roof of an ice factory collapsed near Murtaza Chowrangi in Karachi’s Landhi area. Rescue officials reached the scene immediately after receiving information about the incident.
According to a report by national media on Tuesday, police stated that the collapse of the ice factory roof resulted in two fatalities and left four others injured. The injured have been shifted to the hospital, where they will be provided medical treatment.
Authorities said that the cause of the incident is not yet known. Police officials added that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Earlier, at least six people, including women and children, lost their lives in a tragic incident when the roof of their house collapsed in an Afghan camp on the outskirts of Karachi, as reported by MM News.
Police sources reported in March that the tragic incident occurred in the wee hours of Sunday at the Janjal Goth Afghan Camp in the Gulshan-e-Maymar area, private news channels reported.
The roof collapse also left four people injured, while the affected family, originally from Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, struggled to come to terms with the tragedy.
