Security forces in Balochistan have thwarted a terrorist attempt to block a key road, resulting in the martyrdom of 18 soldiers. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists launched an attack on the road during the night before February 1.
According to a statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations, security forces immediately responded to the situation, and during the operation, they successfully killed 12 terrorists. The ISPR emphasized that the terrorists attempted to disrupt the routine life of peaceful citizens in the region.
The ISPR spokesperson assured that the clearance operation is ongoing in the affected area and vowed that every attempt to disrupt peace in Balochistan would be met with failure.
“On behest of inimical and hostile forces, this cowardly act of terrorism was aimed at disrupting the peaceful environment of Balochistan by targeting mainly the innocent civilians,” ISPR stated.
As mentioned in the statement, Security forces and law enforcement agencies were immediately mobilized, who successfully thwarted the evil design of terrorists and killed 12 terrorists, ensuring security and protection of the local populace.
“However, during the conduct of operations, eighteen brave sons of soil, having fought gallantly, made the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat,” read the official statement of ISPR.
Ensuing sanitization operations are being conducted and the perpetrators, facilitators and abettors of this heinous and cowardly act, will be brought to justice, it added.
