ISLAMABAD: The government Friday issued a threat alert about the attack on former Prime Minister Imran Khan, a private TV channel reported.
According to the report, the authorities concerned have informed Imran Khan’s Chief of Staff Shahbaz Gul that there is a risk of attack on former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In view of any untoward incident, the security of the PTI Chairman has been tightened, the report added.
It is to be noted that Imran Khan has expressed his concerns about the attack on him several times in recent days.
Addressing a rally on May 14 in Sialkot, Imran Khan had said that a conspiracy was being hatched against him to kill him. He also said that he had recorded a video in this regard in which he had mentioned the names wanted to kill him.
Then on May 15, while addressing a rally in Faisalabad, the PTI chairman took a promise from the people that the people should promise that if anything happened to him, they would get justice by watching the video. Imran Khan had also termed the ouster of his government as an external and internal conspiracy before his assassination plot.
